The Hope Now Bible School in Cherkassy has opened new classes for Sunday school teachers. Vitaly Kozak was one of the first to take this course and shares his impressions with us. I was very excited to be asked to attend the three day seminar designed to help Sunday school teachers.
I have the honour to teach the Word of God to 12-13 years old "troublemakers" and because I have little experience in teaching children I needed some teaching and advice on how to do it correctly. These seminars were an answer to my prayers. I needed to know how to help these young kids before they are completely corrupted by this cruel and cunning world. I understood that everything I taught in my Sunday school class was very important and necessary but it needed strengthening with good management, method improvement, new vision and a new approach. Teaching in general is not a simple thing, but teaching the Bible truth in a Sunday school class to young people whose attitude to studying is superficial and light is even more difficult. That's why three days seminars "following the Great Teacher" gave answers to my many questions, changed my attitude to this ministry and put it on a Biblical foundation. I looked at Jesus in a different way - He is not just the Teacher of the truth, but He is the Great teacher who has also a "Sunday school class" with such different and sometimes difficult students. I understood that the Great Teacher taught others by His own example, developing personal relationships with disciples, using understandable examples for them and motivating them to actions. In full measure I understood the value of children to the Lord, ability of children to conceive the Word of God and what is the most important I realized that kids can be changed according to the will of God.
I was impressed by the course structure, interesting, dynamic, friendly communication style of teachers and participants; new technical approaches; principles of the lesson structure and Bible story analyses. I returned home with Certificate, computer disc with 22 seminars and with great desire to improve my teaching skills. I was ready to apply the new approaches and knowledge I got during three days of seminars. From the very core of my heart, I am very thankful to brothers and sisters in Christ who organized, developed and sponsored the seminars which were a great and real blessing to me personally and to all participants.
CHERKASSY CENTRE FOR BIBLICAL STUDIES BECAUSE IT IS GROWING - IT NEEDS YOUR HELP URGENTLY
As I shared with you in last months News Letter, the Bible School in Cherkassy is growing and developing in exciting new ways, as we now train Sunday School Teachers and have further developed the training of Pastors with our new two year Post Graduate course.
We had, at the Hope Now Bible School, a very rich graduation service of
sermons, testimonies, poems and songs. Everyone serves the Lord, as he
is able. The Lord blesses, He uses His clay vessels as He wants.
On the 15th May, students will gather with their teachers and guests to
celebrate graduation. It is thrilling to know that these men will spread
far and wide to be pastors and church planters.

07.02.2012 Our auditors visit the Southampton offices today to audit our accounts – pray that all will be in order as figures are checked
08.02.2012 Give thanks for all the volunteers that come into the office and give of their time so sacrificially, doing jobs at times without even being asked
09.02.2012 Pray for Frank and Lin as they plan for the summer at Kompas Park, and visit churches to speak about the varying areas of service possible
10.02.2012 Pray for Misha and all the staff at the Ukraine office as they consider all the requests from those asking for help
11.02.2012 Pray that all the plans for the Annual Weekend Away next month will come together well, and that people will register early while rooms are still available
