Many of you reading this News Letter have been donating £5 or £10 per month since the founding of the Bible School 7 years ago, which together with a few larger annual donations, has been the way that the Bible School has been financed. However as a result of our current expansion, coupled with the very high inflation in Ukraine over the past two years, we now have to raise additional funds to cover these increasing costs. I believe I have found a way of doing this without taking any money away from the other equally important Hope Now Projects, or asking you, our very generous supporters, to give any more money, when you are already giving so much. Let me explain how this can happen with your help.

8 years ago I was introduced to the Utility Warehouse Discount Club, and over these past 8 years the Club has saved me a considerable sum of money. Now the exciting news is that the Club has a Community Fund Raising Programme that can help provide the much needed extra finance for the growing programmes at the “Hope Now” Bible School in Cherkassy. Before explaining how this works, let me introduce you to the Club.

  Graduation Party
The Utility Warehouse Discount Club came into existence 13 years ago, with the aim of enabling Club Members to save money on their Utility Bills. The Club is able to do this by not having any expensive advertising, and because the Club grows by club members recommending the clubs services to their family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. In this way the Club is able to make substantial savings, which are passed on to members, as cheaper services. The club now has over 450,000 members benefitting from an ever growing range of services.

So let me introduce you to the Club portfolio of services, and then show you how, by you taking some, or all of them yourself, you could save money, and at the same time regularly support Hope Now and the Bible School in particular.

GAS AND ELECTRICITY

In the January 2011 issue of Which Magazine; the Club was awarded the accolade of being the UK’s Best energy company supplying both gas and electricity to its members at great prices. The club has a unique “Triple Value” guarantee for its energy supplies.

1. For their as, the club guarantee that their prices will always be cheaper than British Gas wherever you live in the U.K.

2. For their electricity, they guarantee their prices will always be cheaper than the prices charged by the regional electricity supplier of the area where you live.

3. Finally for everyone’s complete peace of mind, they guarantee that their prices will always remain competitive compared with the cheapest standard tariffs available from the Big 6 suppliers.

So you can’t lose by changing your supplier for gas and electricity to the Utility Warehouse Discount Club; as you will always be getting the best prices available.

TELEPHONE AND THE INTERNET

We all use the telephone and the Internet, and the Club has a range of products at great prices, Undoubtedly the star of the line up in this area is the Club’s Broadcall Service which gives members a bundle of Line Rental, free Telephone Calls 24/7 (if you are also taking gas and electricity) and up to 24 meg Broadband all for £19.99 a month. There are also a number of other different telephone and internet options, ensuring a suitable package for everyones’ requirements at great prices.

MOBILE PHONES

We all use Mobile Phones, and the Club has the cheapest Mobile telephone rates in the U.K. Again, as for land line, so for Mobile Phones, there is a range of packages, both for line rental and for handset and line rental combined, giving excellent savings to the discerning purchaser.

SHRINK YOUR WEEKLY SHOPPING BILL

Every week, all of us use supermarkets, local shops and major retail outlets. By using the Club Cashback Card, members receive a ‘cash back’ of between 3% and 7% at over 35 shops and retails outlets in the U.K. including Sainsburys, Asda, Marks and Spencer, Boots, Comet, and B and Q to name just a few. By using the club Cash Back Card, it is possible, depending on your monthly spend, to save up to 25% off your monthly Utility Bill. Your total monthly Cash Back appears on your monthly Club Bill.

ALL SERVICES ON ONE BILL

This is another advantage of the club. All the services members take are on one bill, with each service clearly analysed, down to every call made, or unit of energy used.

HOW MUCH CAN I SAVE?

The Utility Warehouse calculates that a typical household can save over £870 a year.

COMMUNITY FUND RAISING PROGRAMME

But how then, by you taking some or all of the available Club services, and so saving money yourself, will Hope Now and the Bible School in particular benefit? As I said at the beginning, the Club has a Community Fund Raising Programme through which the Club will donate each month, up to 5% of a club Member’s monthly Utility Bill spend, for as long as the member remains in the Club. Joining the club is also risk free for you. The Utility Warehouse is so confident that you will be happy with the money you save, that most services have no minimum contract term, so you are not tied in to a long contract. You can leave the club at any time.

WIN – WIN SITUATION.

Yes it is a win-win situation for all, you save money, the Ulility Warehouse gains a customer, and Hope Now raises money for the Bible Schools expanding programme.

In the leaflet you will have received with this month’s Newslettter, you will see a number of testimonials from organisations already using the “Community Fund Raising Programme”. I hope that having read of our urgent need for more funds you will take up this opportunity for saving money yourself, and supporting Hope Now and the Bible School at the same time.

If you have any questions before doing so please telephone me, David Reddaway, on 01202 696085  and I will be happy to answer them.
