See, the sick are healed, the gospel is preached
The Christian medical association of Kirovograd region was started in 1991 and includes doctors, doctor's assistants, nurses and pharmacists. The aim of the Christian Medical Association is to bring people to Christ through medical help. Indeed many people have come to Christ through our ministry and many new churches have been planted. Sometimes we meet hostile attitudes towards Christianity. One lady who lived next door to the home group was very angry with Christians when she saw them and they suffered many curses from her. When our group arrived with the Mobile Medical and Dental unit provided by Hope Now, she received a personal invitation to a church service at which several people repented. Then we started the clinic, brothers and sisters kept singing and talking to the patients. That neighbor was in a line to see a dentist. Sadly, the tooth could not be saved. It was extracted and medicine was given, all free of charge. She was very surprised and started visiting the church. She came to faith, accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized and became a member of the church. Praise God. In another village a brother on his way to church and met a lady with a cane He invited her to see the doctors. "I saw many doctors", she complained, "But nothing helped, my knee still hurts me and I can't unbend it". Eventually she came, listened to the Word of God and much liquid was drained from her knee. Straight away she bent her knee with great joy and thanks. Later she came to God and now works in the church. There are many such stories. Truly, the most effective method of outreach in Ukraine is through medical ministry. Many say words about God and His love but people don't want to listen, they want to see it in practice. In 2007 we visited 35 villages. Many people came to the Lord. 154 were baptized. 2 new churches were planted in Kirovograd region, many churches enlarged in numbers. Praise be to the Lord.
