Imagine you are nine years old and live in a cramped apartment in a crumbling tower block in the poorest part of the city. You long to be somewhere where you can run outside, play games, go for picnics and swim. Your family has little money and you know there is certainly none to spare for holidays. Or perhaps you are in an orphanage or a foster home because you have no parents to care for you. Wouldn't it be great to be taken on holiday and treated, just for a week, like a very special person?
Thanks to Hope Now, many hundreds of disadvantaged Ukrainian children have enjoyed wonderful holidays at Kompas Park. This once derelict and abandoned school has been transformed by Hope Now into a superb facility where, while giving them the time of their lives, we share and show them the love of Jesus Christ. Many of the children have known little joy or love in their lives and its is truly wonderful to see them bringing Kompas Park alive with the sounds of laughter and happiness as they enjoy a week of fun and friendship.
Plans are well underway for a full programme of camps for summer 2010 at Kompas Park and from June to August we hope to welcome 400 plus children from the Cherkassy area. In September we run camps for a hundred or so widows and widowers. For many this will be their only break away from, often, very difficult home situations.
Each summer we learn of children who would love to come to Kompas Park but the money is just not there. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring a child, a widow or widower for a week at Kompas Park? Just 50GBP will give a boy or girl, a widow or widower a really special time away as well as telling them they are not forgotten.

studies at Bath University. I forget what I studied. And that was the
problem. So, Vic Jackopson, who had known me since I was very young,
