Many of you will know that we also work in South Africa, although much smaller than our Ukraine work several young people have been given the opportunity of a new life with education paid for by Hope Now supporters.
Being so far away and expensive to travel to, we have relied very much on one of our supporters now living in South Africa to oversee the education and livelihoods of these vulnerable young people. Working closely with those we care for inevitably means strong loving relationships are formed.
Margaret Ferguson has given so much of her life and experience to not only supporting our young people there, but becoming a “mum” too. Angelique will be marrying in November, and her mum will be there helping on the day.
This is the note Angelique sent to Margaret that says it all;
“Sorry I couldn't be with you yesterday I have a test tomorrow, therefore I had to prepare but I did think about you and I have mother's day gift for you as I promised myself to do every year.
God always knows how to make things right and he gives us what we never had: a mother, a daughter.
I also want you to know that I appreciate you always not only on mother's day.
Thank you for being a great mom, I brag to my friends who have their biological parents about you and they all agree that you are a good mother.
Thank you.
Love Angelique”
If any friends old or new would like to send a card or gift you can send it to the office in Southampton and we will arrange delivery for you.
