Swindon House is the Hope Now pre-independence home for girls, where four girls who are orphans live together for two or three years learning how to make the adjustment from orphanage life to full independence. The girls are at various stages in this process and this is what they together have decided to say to our partners.

Swindon life makes us feel independent and grown up. It's a great opportunity to learn how to use time and money effectively. We are very thankful to the Lord that we don't need to worry about our finances. We try to concentrate on our studies. Each of us is involved in different spheres of education and we share what we learn with each other. Marina, for example, is learning cooking skills. Her profession is very important in life. It's a woman's responsibility to cook tasty food, so we learn from her. It happens that we get ill sometimes. Praise God, we have Svieta, who can advise us on what medicine to take. We are given some money and have to learn how to use it effectively. Valya will be an accountant so she is the best to equip us in that sphere. Svieta is learning English. If you need help with your English classes, feel free to come and ask her for help, she is always happy to teach. Vika is our youngest and still a pupil at the specialist music school. She hasn't chosen her future profession yet, but when the time comes we will help her in that.
We have a study room to do home work together. Recently, there were some changes. We created what we call our "spiritual room". It is a place where each of us can talk to God, to share our joys, our problems and challenges. We are so thankful to the Lord for all conveniences and opportunities we have in this home. Each of us is individual so we learn how to give, to love, forgive and encourage. Each of us has personal relations with God. Sometimes we have devotions to read the Bible and pray together. We go to the church every Sunday and thank God for everything we have from him. May He in everything be glorified for He is worthy of our praise.
