Vic will once again don his cycle helmet and test his stamina against the best young people from the Hope Now Cycling Club as, in August, they cycle about 50 miles each of four days through the Cherkassy Oblast. Vic will be joined by two young British volunteers.
The tour is more than just cycling. In past years, young people and even today's tour leader, have become Christians. Vic, who will then be 68, will be dependant on Stasik Kuchma to look after him on the uphill stretches.
The Cycle Club depends on Vic raising enough money through his sponsorship for the whole year of activities, the tour costs and new bicycles. (see picture)
