AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM HOPE NOW
It is with deep sadness we need to inform you that Sue Jackopson, co-founder of Hope Now and wife of Vic was called home on 28th July following a long illness. Our prayers are with Vic and all the family at this difficult time.
The long journey is over. Sue, my Princess, partner in ministry, friend and beloved wife of 47 years, has gone to where that wretchedly cruel Alzheimers can never touch her again. Having lost the functioning of her very sharp brain and every useful skill that she possessed so much for the benefit of others, in the end could not even open her mouth to receive food or drink.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, prayers and love to us along this road. It has made an enormous difference to each of us in the family. We have known God’s grace in every situation, so we have confidence to face the future - I think.
It was in 1985 that Sue and I co-founded Hope Now and in the next 25 years worked together a partnership of love for the thousands whom we served. Therefore, we invite you to make a thanksgiving donation to Hope Now. These gifts will be split between Hope Now, Kompas Park and Church Planting at Smila in Ukraine, which were so close to Sue’s heart. Cheques to be sent to Hope Now, Malvern Centre, Malvern Rd, Southampton SO16 6PY or you can give online by pressing the donate button and follow the Give.net instructions marking your gift “in memory of Sue”.
