Hope Now supports the newly formed Kompas Park Educational Association. (June 2007) It has transferred all if its educational and equiping ministries to this Ukrainian non-governmental organisation. These include:-
Kompas Park, Khreshcahyk
In 2006 Hope Now rented a redundant school in the village of Kheshchatyk, Cherkassy Oblast for the purpose of providing adventure summerschool camps for orphans, handicapped and poor children. It now has a long-term contract with Kompas Park Educational Association to continue this work and even extend the use of the facility for year round use. (see www.kompaspark.com)
Cherkassy Centre for Biblical Studies
Under the leadership of British Baptist Minister, the Hope Now Bible school was founded in 2004 to train prospective pastors and missionaries. The school is non-denominational and evengelical in character. In May 2006 the first twenty five of its students graduated. Today the school thrives, not just with new students but with new courses being offered for evangelists, puppeteers and musicians.
Student Sponsorship
For many years Hope Now has had a student sponsorship scheme, which enables Christians from poor families to attend universities and colleges. All are interviewed and means tested and only sponsored as individual sponsorships come available.
All students are expected to attend the High Hopes Student Club and give at least two weeks of service back to Hope Now.
Life Cycle Club
In 2002 Hope Now established the Life Cycle Club as a means of physical and spiritual training for yound people in Cherkassy. Every summer the club tours the oblast for three to six days, usually with a team of overseas visitors.
Church Planting and Twinning
In 2005, Valerie Reddaway from England and Ukrainian staff member Victor Kusyumov took over from Vic Jackopson the leadership of this department. At that time the emphasis shifted from church buildind to church planting and twinning programmes with overseas churches.
