Evangelism and Church Planting has been at the heart of Hope Now since its inception. Many individuals and groups have been equipped to bring people to faith in Christ and to plant new churches. This work is as vital today as it always has been and financial support, coupled with personal encouragement, are still the twin pillars of this ministry, now led by Mrs. Valerie Reddaway.
We urgently need money to plant new congregations, particularly in villages. There are people with the gift of evangelism and pastoral oversight who, with your help, are ready to settle in villages and establish churches. For only 300(GBP) we can make fit for ministry an already purchased property, and settle a pastor who will then preach the gospel and establish a new church. Where there is no property we can buy a house for as little as 6000 USD / 3,300 GBP and convert it into a meetinghouse.
In 2004, Hope Now established a part-time Bible School, where those who are already serving churches and those who are contemplating pastoral ministry, come for three days a month to receive a basic theological education.
Church life is alive and well in many of the villages around
Cherkassy. Having spent 5 days visiting several villages, progress
was evident in many of them.
