In 2002 Hope Now took out a fully equipped modern mobile dental unit to provide treatment in villages, orphanages, prisons and other places where such care has been unavailable. In 2003 we commissioned the clinic and British volunteer dentists treated over 400 patients in Cherkassy and at the summer camps. The following winter extensive modifications were made so that it could be used more fully. The unit is now based in Kirovograd (80 mi south of Cherkassy) where it is operated

by local churches under the supervision of a senior Ukrainian doctor. Local medical volunteers work in partnership with British and American dental volunteer for much of the year. The work has now extended to include medical, dental, and evangelical outreaches throughout the providence. 
 Other projects
Care of sick children   
From time to time Hope Now is asked to give specific help to children, some of whom may be suffering the long-term effects of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.
