  New ways of teaching orphans
Dear Hope Now,

Thank you very much for hosting the Fresh Start Summer Program at Kompas Park.  Your generosity enabled us to organize many summer activities for 75 orphans, in a continuation of your Fresh Start for Children Education Program.

The Institute of Education has designed a new training course that builds on your ideas in healthy approaches and techniques that have proven to be successful in dealing with special needs children.  In the past, we limited our training to one teacher trainer at each of the orphanages.  Now we have expanded the training to include every teacher in the orphanages - these are now equipped to deal with special needs students.

The Institute hosted participants from various orphanages to perform their shows on the motto "We are healthy and happy". We were glad to have representatives of Hope Now there to see the progress of these children.  To continue and build on the good work already done we need to provide the orphanages with special sports equipment in order to train their bodies and minds to overcome bad habits.  We are blessed that you have donated money to supply children with these urgently needed things.
In June 2010, we would like to hold a summer vocational camp at Kompas Park for special needs students.  This would last for two weeks.  At this camp, students would have an opportunity to meet professionals from various occupations and learn about a range of job opportunities for them.  At present the students' knowledge of jobs is limited to teachers, nurses and cooks because this is all they have seen living in the isolation of institutional life.  This camp would broaden the scope of career choices available to them.  We have several volunteers who will participate in the project.  In order to implement the program, we are requesting funding from Hope Now.
We look forward to cooperating with you in the future and hope that you will look favorably upon our request for funding.

Sincerely,

Tatiana Pakhomova

If you would like to send a child to this camp it will cost $75 for each week.

You Made a Difference

You made a difference! It was summer of 1994, and I had just completed my first year of studies at Bath University.  I forget what I studied.  And that was the problem.

Looking Forward to Graduation

Greetings to you dear brothers and sisters, and peace be to you.
God has blessed me with a ministry in a Christian church called "Calvary". I am an administrator of the church. As a part of my job, I often visit city administrators, governor's committees and meet with secular people.
