My Dad is in Prison

My name is Zhenya and I am 17. My parents miraculously came to the Lord, when we moved to a village.  And I praise God they led me to know Him.  In church, I am very much involved in a children’s Awana Club.  I love the children and take it as a great privilege to tell them about Christ and to witness by my own example.

I am happy to be in a big Christian family. I have a brother who is 18 and we finished school this year together. My younger sister Tanya is 10, Ira is 8 and when my mom was pregnant with her 5th child (it’s Sofiiya, she is five months old now) something happened that brought a shadow of stress and pain to our family.

My father, was too enthusiastic in defending himself against an attacker. Apparently, he committed a crime and was put into prison. Every day, my mom and 5 of us kneel down and ask the Lord to make His righteous judgment and to give us our dad back. But He knows the way.  We would so much appreciate if you could remember us in your prayers.

This year I enrolled to Cherkassy National State University, journalism faculty.  Since my childhood I have dreamt to become a missionary.  I believe journalism is very closely connected with missionary work, as a journalist is like a bell. God needs bells to let sinners know about His love.
