For the past several years, it has been our pleasure to welcome, as our guests, a group of widows and widowers to Kompas Park. Our wonderful summer camp has blessed thousands of young Ukrainian people over the years – and we are happy to report that the hundreds of elderly folk that come to camp also have a ball and their cups overflow with blessings. Of course, the pace of the camp for our more seasoned guests is a little slower, but is still strongly steeped in the Lord. The widows and widowers enjoy Bible study, prayer groups, women’s circle as well as traditional summer camp activities. Since many of these folk have never been on a vacation before, coming to Kompas Park is truly like a little slice of heaven. Just to socialize with fellow Believers is such a valued treat for them. The American and British volunteers who come serve at KP are blessed beyond measure. To serve at Kompas Park either the last week in August, or the first week in September, please contact Cyndee in the Atlanta office at 404-643-3162 as teams are forming now. If you cannot attend yourself, but would like to give to send a Widow or Widower to camp, please send in your $75 camp donation today.
Some will say she is far too young to marry at eighteen, but in the
Ukrainian culture, it is not unusual and, I dare say, there are many
older Americans reading this letter who married as young and will
testify to long and happy marriages
