"I am Nina Serdyuk, guardian of my 10 yr. old orphaned grandson Vladislav. His mother died when he was 4, and his father left him before he was born. He stays with me all the time, in pain and in tears, but God doesn't leave us. When I came to Christ and was baptized, my husband started mocking, beating and cursing us. We were given the choice to either stay with him or to be with God. Vlad and I chose God.
And praise His name, we have never been sorry. First, we lived in a church in the village of Telepyno and then we stayed with a Christian lady. Finally, the government issued an apartment to my grandson, praise the Lord. The apartment was in terrible condition with no electricity or heating, broken windows & doors and a leaking roof. Praise God - He helped us to put in gas and electricity, and to make some repairs. But we got into debt and now owe 2500 hrivnas. We can't repay the money because Vlad and I are both sick and the only income we have is Vladislav's orphan allowance of $68 a month. Our pastor helps as he can, but we have no money for Vlad's medicine. So, dear brothers and sisters, could you please help my grandson? We do need financial support at the moment."
