Pre-independence Homes

In 2003 Hope Now opened Swindon House for orphaned girls as a transitional stage between internat and independent living. Each girl secured a place at trade school and in addition to learning a specific trade, all were given additional evening studies designed to prepare them for integration into the wider society. They have learned how to cook, repair clothes, budget their income and expenditure, form lasting relationships. The first girls are all, except one, graduated, in work and confidently living independent lives
Now a similar house has been purchased for boys. This is called Cornah House after Dr Deborah Cornah from Southampton, England, who spent two years with Hope Now as a consultant advising the organisation how to address the needs of orphans and homeless young people.

It is possible to become a sponsor for an orphan in this programme by applying to info@hopenow.org.uk .
