In 2001 a
cycle club was formed in Cherkassy
to provide recreation for teenagers. Now, every year, these youngsters tour for
four days to ride to other towns and villages in the oblast. Along the way they
engage in evangelistic opportunities and visit internats (special schools and
orphanages).
Through the year the club provides a programme of
recreation, exercise and spiritual development.
I first heard of Hope Now from a friend of mine, Stas, who was one of
the first to receive its services. I met Stas when I was on holiday in
Georgia, USA, staying with the Knight family.
