Due to a persistent leg problem, Cycle Club leader, Lyena Nadtochii, was unable lead a full cycle tour this year. Encouraged by Vic to find an alternative activity, for half the cost of the usual tour, 7 members of the club traveled south to the Crimea to help conduct a 10 day beach mission. Morning exercises were followed by water sports and exciting activities, interspersed with Christian dramas and songs. When the 7 were not playing with children and their folks, they showed true servant spirit by carrying water for the showers and helping in the kitchen. When they returned to Cherkassy they decided to cycle out with other members of the club on a day trips to Melniky, Ruska Polyana and Dumantsi, where they will also engage in ministry. Lyena Nadtochii sent a message to our partners saying, “We express our many thanks to Hope Now for your help and financial support.” The entire project was $1,000 well spent! Well done, Cycle Club.
I first heard of Hope Now from a friend of mine, Stas, who was one of
the first to receive its services. I met Stas when I was on holiday in
Georgia, USA, staying with the Knight family.
